Nautical Favor Bags

I wrote before that I’m planning a Nautical Party for my nephews and nieces. Candies are my favorites and I wanted to make some pretty favor bags according to theme. Also, I just got a Silhouette Cameo which feels my new toy. When it came home, I wanted to cut, cut and cut. I didn’t have materials for starting my projects, but found a clear contact paper. I was ready for making my first stencil. Since contact paper is a bit sticky and paint is not transferring across, this is what I made…

I cut an anchor that I found at the Silhouette Store with ID #76596, then I stick it to the fabric. I didn’t forget about the round shape inside the design.

I put a piece of cardboard inside my bag. This way paint wont transfer to the other side.

I painted a thin coat of acrylic paint, carefully and let it dry.

I Painted three coats of paint until I got what I wanted. I let it dry between every coat for about 10 minutes and before remove the stencil.

I carefully removed the stencil.

So perfect!!! I can’t wait to see them full of candies and of course eat the candies :).
